Today we’re rolling out a new Skysense website and a refreshed brand — built around the same idea that drives everything we do in the field: what you grow, you keep.
Skysense started with a simple observation. Growers of blueberries, cherries, wine grapes, and other high-value crops can lose 15 to 22 percent of a harvest to birds in an average season — and far more in a bad one. Most of the standard toolkit (cannons, lasers, netting) shares the same weakness: birds habituate to anything that never changes.
Our drone-based deterrence program stays unpredictable. Flight paths and sounds change constantly, remotely supervised drones patrol during the windows when bird pressure peaks, and growers get consistent coverage without adding on-site labor.
The new site reflects where the company is today:
- Bird mitigation front and center — the problem, how the service works, and what growers can expect, in plain terms.
- A ROI calculator that pulls from USDA yield and price data, so you can run the numbers for your own crop, acreage, and state.
- Our service area — programs running across Washington, Oregon, California, Arizona, Florida, Georgia, and the Carolinas, with new growing regions being added.
If you’re fighting bird pressure this season, talk to us. And if you know a farmer who is, our referral program rewards you both.
